THE California Japanese American Alumni Association has facilitated an Internship Program since 1990. The Internship Program is designed to enable a Japanese American student at UC Berkeley to gain experience in public service. At the same time, it provides a nonprofit organization with the opportunity to benefit from an energetic intern committed to community service.      To apply for an internship, please submit a proposal by the deadline. ELIGIBILITY  Japanese American undergraduate or graduate students enrolled at the University of California Berkeley. STIPEND  A $1500 stipend will be awarded to selected students upon completion of an internship with a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community organization. DEADLINE  Proposals are due each year by May 1st.      Eligible students are invited to submit a proposal for an internship with a community-based organization.
